To kick things off, we'll meet with your team and review the needs of your project, we'll learn the ins-and-outs of what you need, determine any pain points that we may need to solve, and start to formulate the time and cost of achieving your goals. We'll scope things out and work with you to finalize the final set of deliverables and their delivery dates.
Once you've signed on the dotted line, we'll get your project kicked off with a planning meeting that includes both of our teams. A dedicated Project Manager will be assigned as the lead contact and liaison between our teams. We'd ask that you provide a main point of contact form your team as well, to serve as the lead Project Manager for the project from your side of things. We will also expect to have a regular, weekly check-in call scheduled for the duration of the project.
We don't do cookie cutter work, so our design team will come up with an all-new, unique design for your project, based on your design direction. We'll start with presenting comprehensive designs of the new home page, giving you unique perspectives of how the project could potentially look and feel. From there, we'll make revisions as needed, until the new design is exactly what you want. Then we'll drill-down and work on sub-page designs and other related aspects of the project.
Once the planning and design considerations have been accounted for, the fun part is pulling it all together! We'll set up the back-end framework for the project and get started with configuring hosting, the database solution, and the content management system. We'll also cut up those beautiful new designs into HTML markup, while pulling the data from the back-end, bringing all the parts of the project together. You'll be able to keep tabs on this progress via a staging version of the project.
Once the staging version is dialed-in and the project is nearly complete, we'll work to test all of the systems and make sure that everything is working as intended. We'll also work to optimize page load times, to make sure that your site is performant and responsive, running well on both mobile and desktop devices. The finishing touches will include setting up analytics, initial SEO setup, and general ADA compliance.
On launch day, we'll coordinate with your team to make sure all the behind-the-scenes machinations of pointing your domain to the new server, ramping up any server specs, and setting up data caching layers for efficiency are all in place. Once everything is primed and ready, we'll "flip the switch" and your project will be on display for the world to see!
