Skype partners with Lady Gaga to promote her world tour: The Born This Way Ball. Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters experienced the show in incredible new ways.

Challenge.

Engineer an intuitive hub site to promote Lady Gaga, and Skype as the official partner of her world tour: The Born This Way Ball. Integrate compelling fan aggregated content and build a brand that stays true to the unique identities of Lady Gaga and Skype.

Solution.

We developed a one-stop hub site for passionate fans world-wide to watch exclusive videos from the tour, engage in fan interviews, view photo galleries, explore an interactive world map, and partake in various Skype Ball sweepstakes. As a bonus, 5 lucky fans were given the opportunity to share an intimate Skype video chat experience with Lady Gaga!

Results.

The website was huge accomplishment for all parties involved. From Stockholm to London to Barcelona, we helped thousands of Little Monsters experience the show in incredible new ways: from instantly sharing their looks on the Blue Carpet with Skype Photo Share to leaving messages for Gaga in the Skype video booth.

Skype and Lady Gaga selected Live Nation to help them promote the 2012-2013 world tour: The Born This Way Ball. Live Nation turned to Haven Agency to bring it all together. We designed and developed an intuitive website that included exclusive videos from the tour, fan interviews, photo galleries, an interactive world map, and various Skype Ball sweepstakes. We expanded user engagement by updating the website on a daily basis to showcase the latest photos and videos from the tour.

Our development team engineered the website to handle a plethora of photos and videos, with a custom-built CMS to manage all of the data. We equipped the website with a cluster of servers to ensure that all visitors were able to experience the website with fast page load times and seamless live streaming videos. The website out-performed the client expectations, maintaining its stability with a peak of over 400,000 concurrent users.

Throughout the promotion we observed a large increase in unique visitors, as users shared new fresh content from the website. Ultimately, 5 lucky fans were able to experience an intimate Skype video chat with Lady Gaga herself. Little Monsters enjoyed discussing and sharing their favorite moments from Skype Ball and The Born This Way Ball tour.
