The Imperial Toy website was one of the largest and complex projects that Haven Agency has untaken over its many years of partnering with companies in the toy industry. It was a group-up approach to tackling all kinds of concerns and target audiences: showcasing the company, highlighting the brands and toys, drawing interest from kids, e-commerce for consumers, generating sales catalogs for wholesale, and more.

Custom Catalog Generator

Haven Agency worked with Imperial Toy to showcase their products at their absolute best. Allowing their visitors to browse merchandise, add items to their cart, and check out simply and efficiently. For e-commernce, our team integrated the Big Commerce solution and connected wiht that API to push brand and product data (and inventory counts) into the online storefront. The orders were automatically sent to Imperial's proprietary system for fulfillment. For wholesale, the Haven Agency team developed a custom catalog generator where slaepeople could dynamically select with brands, categories , and even specific tpys to include or exclude from a custom PDF that could be generated on-the-fly. Then the salesperson could send that customized catalog off to each wholesaler or distributer as needed.

All Hands on Deck to Create a One-Stop Digital Solution

Countless reources and teams had to collaborate to bring the all-new Imperial Toy digital presence to life. The first task was to plan and design an all-new consumer website that showcased everything from the history of Imperial Toy, to its various brands, its impressive toy catalog, along with access to videos and support articles. Months alone were spent on wireframing every page of the website, and also on diagraming the connections between the various back-end systems that would support the website.

As development got underway, Haven Agnecy fine-tuned a custom-developed CMS that allowed the team at Imperial Toy to contral various sections of the website. But we also integrated with Imperial's proprietary tpy catalog system in order to leverage the existing library of toy details and imagery. This would help eliminat ethe need for quadruple data entry (back-end inventory tracking, front-end consumer display, e-commerce integration, and whole catalog generator display).

This was an intense and all-hands-on-deck project, but our team was able to successfully pull all of these disparate pieces together into a cohesive, well-functioning solution that helped Imperial Toy reach its goal of a one-stop digital solution.
